About :

The northernmost bikepacking event in Germany is called Hackenpedder. This year I cycled 1,000 km in 3.5 days, after actually only wanting to do the short cut. Although the weather was a real challenge, I somehow managed to finish this challenge. It started in Kiel, heading towards Denmark. From there to the west coast towards Hamburg and further north-east to Kiel. Partly a journey through time, as the route runs along what was then the German-German border. Except for a few sections, it is entirely away from traffic and asphalt.
