Film about the construction of the replica of the oarstua from Kjelleberg in Valle at the Norwegian Folk Museum. This film was produced from 1992 to 1994. The house is a copy of the old school, "old train", built to give an impression of what a new house might have looked like 300 years ago. The construction work was carried out using older methods. Only materials that were common when the model was built were used -- ore pine logs, and moss in the walls. Stone for the foundation wall and peat and turf were brought from Setesdal. Tools of old types were used: axe, band knife and hubs.
