Music: Balázs Havasi Miss Emily Arundell's family waits with bated breath for the old lady's death. The inheritance would pull them all out of a big pickle. So she writes a letter to Hercule Poirot. Poirot receives the letter and sets off for Market Basin with the faithful Captain Hastings. There he learns that the young lady has died almost two months ago. No one considered her death unexpected, only the stipulations of her will attracted attention. A client who died (apparently) of natural causes, a letter arriving several months late, a will that destroys the family, a wire-haired fox terrier who leaves his ball on the stairs - a case that Poirot really likes! Hercule Poirot, the brilliant private investigator, has been commissioned by royalty, international financial and industrial tycoons, the young, the old, the rich and the poor - but never by the dead! Now this is what happens, two months after the death of Miss Emily Arundell, the post office delivers a letter from the lady, in which she asks for the master's help, citing extremely suspicious circumstances.
