What should not be done with a MECHANICAL TRANSMISSION? 1. Do not shift the gear lever abruptly or fully depress the clutch - this can damage the synchronizers and locking rings. 2. Do not engage reverse gear without a complete stop, as this can damage the gears of the manual transmission. 3. Do not downshift 2 gears at high revs, otherwise the gearbox and engine may experience increased loads. 4. It is not recommended to press the gas pedal to the floor at low revs and in high gear, otherwise the engine experiences oil starvation. 5.
