The most basic possible version of a functional audio preamplifier. It has a relatively high input impedance and operates with a very wide voltage range. Ideal to serve as the first stage for the low power audio amplifier in video 02 • 02_LOW POWER AMPLIFIER WITH ... With 12 volts of supply it can deliver 4 volts of amplitude at the output with an excitation of just 20 millivolts coming from, for example, a dynamic microphone. It might seem like too much to talk for almost ten minutes about a transistor and two resistors, but when we seek to build an electronic device, the ideal is to have all the information possible to be sure that the project we undertake is tested and will work as we expect it to. Before making each video I do all the tests I can think of so that I don't have any doubts about what I publish, and so that whoever decides to build what is seen in the videos does so with the confidence that it works. This is how I can end up talking for 10 minutes about a transistor and two resistors. ;-) Questions, suggestions or corrections related to my videos are welcome. Twitter: /6dq6channel
