ℹ️ Journalist and Director of the newspaper La Opinión. Kidnapped on April 15, 1977. Tortured on multiple occasions by officers of the Buenos Aires Provincial Police with an ostensible anti-Semitic ideology. Journalist. Director of the newspaper "La Opinión", he was kidnapped on April 15, 1977. He was held captive in Campo de Mayo, "Puesto Vasco" (Bernal), "COTI Martínez" in the town of the same name, interrogated at the Buenos Aires Provincial Police Headquarters by his Chief, Colonel Camps, and by the Director General of Investigations, Miguel O. Etchecolatz. He was then transferred to the Magdalena military prison. From there his house arrest was ordered and in September 1979 he was expelled from the country. His kidnapping had repercussions in journalistic and political circles almost all over the world. Timerman recounted his experience as a missing person in the book “Prisoner without a name, cell without a number”, published abroad before being published in Argentina. This publication was answered by two books by Colonel Ramón JA Camps.
