It is thousands of kilometers through the wilderness of North America to the Bering Sea. A hopeless undertaking by land. Dense forests, deserted terrain, swamps, harsh weather conditions and isolation make this adventure a special challenge. With a self-built raft, Mario and his small team set off on an adventurous journey through an unknown and almost deserted wilderness. Together they break out and dive deep into the wilderness of Canada and Alaska. A lack of maps, rough weather and moments of giving up make the journey difficult. Again and again there are borderline experiences that are deeply moving but also give hope. In his visually stunning report, Mario describes how the three adventurers conquer the Yukon on their wooden raft. They experience nature in all its beauty, but also the many dangers that such an undertaking entails, meet people who live in harmony with nature and visit German emigrants who have found a new home far away. After 60 days, the raftsmen reach the Bering Sea, but the goal of the journey was not to arrive, but to master the path itself. An exciting story that is carried by longing and describes a path back to ourselves.
