For many people, churches are more than just impressive buildings. They are places of reflection or meeting places for social interaction. Even in our current, sometimes religiously critical times, they are the center of life for many people. Behind the walls there is often something mystical and mysterious, beautiful and contemplative, which we will explore in more detail. We meet women and men who have a special relationship with their church. They are not just officials, but also people who are involved in many different ways in their everyday lives for their community. We present 5 outstanding churches from Rhineland-Palatinate: the Felsenkirche in Idar-Oberstein, St. Paulin in Trier, the pilgrimage churches of Koblenz-Arenberg and Ludwigshafen-Oggersheim and the Stiftskirche in Neustadt an der Weinstraße.
