Cast off! for Julia Finkernagel: With Robert from Masuria she wants to discover Poland's land of a thousand lakes from the water. A landscape with pristine nature and full of history(s). Once on a houseboat to Masuria. With her companion, the journalist begins her journey in Gdansk. The route through Poland's northeast leads through Warmia-Masuria to the Masurian Lakes. On the journey through former East Prussia on the water, she encounters wild nature and remarkable people, but also almost suffers shipwreck. Julia learns to steer a houseboat, drives uphill through the Oberland Canal, eats her way through Warmia cuisine, narrowly escapes a storm, heads for historical places such as Sztynort or Galkowo, meets locals - and runs aground. For the German-Polish team it's all about keeping their nerve and not losing their sense of humor. The journalist tells of her travel adventures in Warmia-Masuria with wit and self-irony.
