What were the hunter-gatherers' motivations for settling for a while in these steep regions that seem (at first glance) not very suitable for human occupation? The Jabron Valley remained unknown to archaeologists until 2009, yet it is full (no kidding) of archaeological sites dating back to the Paleolithic. A multidisciplinary research program is now making it possible to discover camps and flint extraction sites.
