Who is disturbing the world?, by Pastor José Manuel Sierra Sunday, May 5, 2024 Chapter 14 of 1 Samuel recounts the brave raid of Jonathan, son of King Saul, against the Philistines. Jonathan, accompanied only by his armiger, decides to attack a Philistine detachment, trusting in divine help. Despite the great numerical disadvantage, Jonathan and his assistant infiltrate the enemy camp and cause a great uproar, causing panic among the Philistines. In the midst of the chaos, an earthquake aggravates the situation, leading the Philistines to attack each other. Meanwhile, Saul and his army join the battle, unaware of Jonathan's success. Saul issues an order to fast, but Jonathan, who was not present when the oath was made, eats honey without knowing of the prohibition. When Saul discovers the violation of his order, he is about to execute Jonathan, but the people intervene in his favor because of his bravery in battle.
