During my trip to Asia, I decided to visit one of Indonesia’s top tourist destinations, the city of Ubud. It is known for its Hindu temples and shrines, and is also home to the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary. Monkey Forest Ubud is a large tree park covering approximately 12.5 hectares and is home to over 1,200 long-tailed macaques. The monkeys, seen as sacred animals, symbolize protection and mischief, fostering a unique connection between humans and wildlife. The nature reserve is considered a sacred place, home to spiritual forces and guardian spirits. Therefore, the park’s mission is to conserve the area based on the concept of Tri Hita Karana. Tri Hita Karana is derived from the word “Tri” meaning three, “Hita” meaning happiness, and “Karana” meaning cause or way. Thus, Tri Hita Karana means “Three ways to achieve spiritual and physical well-being.” If you dream of visiting Asia and want to save money on your entire trip, I invite you to join my mentoring program, where I'll show you how Volunteer Exchange allows you to travel the world while earning accommodation, meals and even financial assistance.
