In an increasingly uncertain world, where crises can arise suddenly and threaten our access to food and other critical resources, Sweden's supply preparedness is put to the test. How well prepared are we to deal with these challenges? Is our dependence on trade with the outside world a strength or a vulnerability in times of crisis? The Stockholm Chamber of Commerce organizes Tuesday, November 26 at 12.00-1.20 a.m. a seminar about our supply security - and about the business community's responsibility for it. During the seminar, we will discuss how Sweden can strengthen its civil preparedness and at the same time preserve and develop important global trade partnerships. Among other things, we will address the question of whether we should invest in greater domestic production and national stocks, or whether we should rely on world trade to secure Sweden's access to critical goods. We will also highlight the critical role of the transport sector in ensuring that goods arrive when they are needed most. Carl-Oskar Bohlin, Minister for Civil Defence, as well as leading representatives from both authorities and business will take part in the seminar. Participants Annica Sohlström, Director General, Norwegian Food Agency Anders Ahnlid, Director General, Kommerskollegium Helena Markstedt, Public Affairs Manager, Arla Foods Sweden Tina Vinnerborg, VP Commercial, Yara Pär Isaksson, writer and journalist Alexis Larsson, Head of Security, PostNord Karin Eriksson, CEO, OKQ8 Alarik Sandrup, head of economic policy, Lantmännen The seminar is led by Fredrik Erfelt, head of economic policy, Stockholm Chamber of Commerce.
