On the program: This webinar organized by ViensVoirMonTaf addresses the specific issues related to welcoming interns from priority education. With the participation of several speakers, including Nadia Dali (Assistant Principal at Collège Le Luzard, Noisiel) and Dominique Dijoux (Executive Secretary and CSR Manager of the Carré d'Or Group); this webinar addresses the issues that students from priority education encounter before their internship week. These issues are addressed in three parts: a first around the preparation of a welcome week program and an internship offer to be published on the ViensVoirMonTaf platform adapted to the students, a second around the processing of applications, and a third on the preparation before welcoming interns. Through these themes, the speakers talk, among other things, about logistical aspects (schedules, meals, etc.), digital divide issues and signing the internship agreement. _______________________________ We encountered some technical incidents during the webinar, and we apologize for them. As you may have noticed, the end was a bit abrupt. So, to compensate for this, here is the anecdote that Mrs. Dali would have liked to share with you: “This is the story of a student who arrived in 5th grade at middle school, living in great poverty, with a poor command of French, having left Georgia two years earlier. Her beginnings were fragile: she was often absent due to family problems, which had an impact on her results. In 3rd grade, she considered a future in the hotel and catering industry without much conviction. Then, thanks to ViensVoirMonTaf, she landed an internship in a prestigious hotel and restaurant in Paris, where she made a strong impression. The team, impressed by her seriousness and commitment, offered her to come back for internships in her professional baccalaureate. This internship became a trigger: she became diligent, her grades improved, and she obtained her orientation in the hotel and catering industry. Today, she is in boarding school, which stabilizes her, and maintains a precious link with this establishment.
