English: http://www.ivi.es/pacientes/ A study by IVI on more than 130,000 patients between 2003 and 2013 shows how the profile of women and families undergoing assisted reproduction treatments has changed. The main patients are: Older women: at IVI, the majority of our patients in 2003 were between 33 and 36 years old, now they are between 38 and 40. Homosexual couples: in 2013 this figure quadrupled to reach 230 procedures per year. Together with women without a partner, this type of patient already accounts for 15% of the total treatments carried out at IVI last year. Single women by choice who want to have children.
