We invite you to the latest edition of TVŻ, including: The city celebrations of the Polish Army Day and the one hundred and fourth anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw are behind us. The celebrations took place on August 15. They began at the city cemetery at the graves of Polish soldiers who died in the Polish-Bolshevik War. The event was attended by an honorary escort of the thirty-seventh Air Defense Missile Squadron. That day, there was also a Holy Mass for the Homeland, which was celebrated in the church of Our Lady of Consolation. The undoubted attraction of the celebrations was the military picnic at John Paul II Square. The program included, among others: a shooting and fencing tournament, flatbreads, an exhibition of Polish weapons from the Middle Ages to World War II, a simulation of a battle with remote-controlled tanks, a fenced-off military and historical games zone, and many other attractions. Paler Flaler, or a flower exchanger, on Friday, August 23. From 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., we invite you to the Culture Center in Żyrardów to exchange plants. This is a unique opportunity to refresh the look of your home or garden. Participation in the event is free of charge. Another event organized by the Culture Center is Stylish Junk. It will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 24. Do you have things at home that you no longer use? Do you want to get rid of them, or maybe you are hunting for a specific item? You will have the chance to do so! We invite you to the Culture Center in Żyrardów. Free admission. The number of places for exhibitors is limited! Advance reservations are required at the e-mail address [email protected] The 6th Żyrardów Cycling Rally named after Grzegorz Jaroszewski is ahead of us! It starts on September 7 at 9:00 a.m. from the cycling track in Żyrardów. This year, the finish line will be located in the Eko Park. The rally will end with a family picnic, which will include sausages and a bonfire. Application forms must be submitted from 16 to 30 August by 4:00 p.m., by e-mail ([email protected]) or in person at the Culture Centre in Żyrardów.
