Used car sales continue to grow. The reason? There are many, but I'll highlight three: First, without a doubt, the price. Second, the uncertainty about what will happen in the future, especially with the regulations. Third, being able to aspire to have a better, bigger or more premium car. These are the 10 most sought-after used cars. #cars #secondhandcars Become a member of this channel to enjoy benefits: / airtight garage Before we begin, I remind you that in this video we have our usual monthly "Classic Consultation", with Jaime Sánchez from "Seat en Rodaje". A recent study commented on how the thermal Seat Ibiza had risen more than 5 percent annually. But it is estimated that the average increase in cars is close to 50 percent. And this price argument, as I said, links to the following: Uncertainty. Buying an electric car is expensive, but it offers advantages, and the question arises, will these advantages continue in the future? And this argument finally links to the third: What if instead of a very expensive mid-range electric or hybrid car I buy a Premium car that is a few years old? A good option. And the proof of this is that among the most desired used cars, most are Premium… or what some call semi-Premium, such as the VW Golf. And it really is an option, buying cars in good condition and with a few years on them, but good, well-maintained cars with a lot of life ahead of them… will give you more for your money. In addition, there is a fourth aspect to consider: Maybe a “conventional” car between 5 and 10 years old has a longer useful life than a new electric one… 1. Audi A3. Third Generation (2012) In the range of €10,000 you can find many versions of this A3, many of them with just over 100,000 km, that is, with a lot of life ahead of them. 2. Audi Q5. English: First Generation (2008) Let's talk about prices: Depending on the version, year and mileage, the 2.0-litre and/or TDi models range from just over €10,000 to under €20,000. 3. BMW 3 Series. Fourth Generation (1997) A premium brand, sought-after, well-made cars... all of which seem synonymous with being expensive. But you're wrong! You can find them for under €10,000 and even, if you're happy with a 318, for under €5,000. I highly recommend the powerful 3-litre TD with 204 hp, and I even more so the 325 petrol with 192 hp. 4. BMW 5 Series. Fourth Generation (1995) Almost everything that has been said about the 3 Series can be said about the 5 Series, only it's bigger and more of a car. There are opportunities with models from the Fifth Generation, the E60 from 2003, and the E34s manufactured between 1988 and 1996 are still highly sought after, gorgeous. 5. Ford Focus. Fourth Generation. (2018). I wanted to get a modern car and for €10,000 you can buy a 3 or 4 year old Ford Focus with a 1.5 Ecoblue 120 HP engine and very well equipped. A good option. 6. Mercedes Benz A-Class. Third Generation (2012) You can find Mercedes A-Classes from previous generations at ridiculous prices… and they are well made. But I don’t like them, I am starting to like the A-Class with the more traditional Third Generation from 2012 onwards. They are very good quality cars and they are already available in reasonable versions at interesting prices, close to €10,000. 7. Mercedes Benz E-Class. Second Generation (1995) I have a friend who has driven one of these cars… over 500,000 km! My favourites are the simplest of all, the 200, a 2-litre petrol engine with 136 hp, or the 230, a 2.3-litre petrol engine with 150 hp. They are sufficient, very tough and cheap. And you can find them for less than €5,000! There are diesel versions to die for, almost all of them with turbo… in cars of this age, I prefer a naturally aspirated petrol engine. 8. Seat León MKI (1999) At last, this model has been given justice! I won’t go on too much as we recently made a special video about this car entitled “Seat León MKI, the best Seat?” Does that seem exaggerated to you? Take a look at the video. They are cars that have appreciated a lot, but that you can still find for less than €10,000 and sometimes close to €5,000 depending on the version. 9. Toyota RAV4. Third Generation (2006) I have seen one in particular, a 2.0 152 HP, Executive finish, with 90,000 km, all services at the dealership and for €10,000… I even called and did the numbers… I might give you a surprise. 10. VW Golf. Fifth Generation (2003) The king of the second-hand market, if you sell one, a cheque to the bearer. The First Generation has gone up in price exorbitantly, if it is a GTi I can’t even tell you, the Second Generation is doing so and so are the MK3 and MKIV. As a car to use, I think the Fifth, which goes from 2003 to 2008, is the best, even the Sixth. These are cars that you will find, depending on the engine, version and mileage, for between a little less than €5,000 and a little more than €10,000. As long as they are not GTi.
