I went to catch a big red sea bream in the deep sea with a tairaba. I found a new natural reef with a large difference in height when I left port two days ago, and I was very interested in it, so this time I thoroughly set up a fish finder and went after it. Normally, I would aim for this depth with a slow jig, but at the end of last year, I changed the hook setting of the tairaba and the hooking improved significantly, so I decided to test it and attack with a tairaba. As a result, I was able to confirm that the hooks were hooked and the number of fish that escaped was less than ever before, so I will introduce that as well. Since this video is about deep tairaba, the length of the video is long, so I will release it in two parts, the first and second parts. In addition, the hook setting was created based on the hints of other tairaba anglers' public information and was repeatedly tested, so it is not my original idea. I would like to thank the operator of the site that I used as a reference. The outline of the hook setting that I tried various things for about a year is as follows. 1. The hooks are three-pronged S-sized Kouga Sakusus hooks (SS is fine, but S is better for bottom fish). 2. The top two hooks are Jigoku-bari type with the same length of assist line. 3. The distance from the top hook tip to the bottom of the red snapper ball is about 3cm. 4. The bottom hook is about 1cm longer from the top Jigoku-bari. These four points have made it incomparable to the stepped hook type. The hook hooks better and the frequency of the fish getting away has been greatly reduced. When the bottom of the red snapper ball is changed from 3cm to 4cm, the fish often get caught outside the mouth, which leads to more frequent breakaways. Also, when it is changed to 2cm, it seems that the number of bites decreases. This is almost the same for red snapper, grouper, and bottom fish. I hope that this will be of some comfort to both tairaba beginners who are just starting out on boat fishing, and to veterans who are frustrated because they can't go fishing.
