The Unknown Woman (1959) Fatima and Souad are two friends who work in the Sednawi chain of stores. They meet Dr. Ahmed during a charity event. Ahmed is impressed by Fatima, and feelings of love grow between the two of them, imagining that they are from noble families. A love story is born and Ahmed asks Fatima to marry him. After the marriage, they have Samir. One day, Fatima goes to visit Souad at her home, but the police raid the place because it is suspicious. Fatima is arrested, and after her release, her husband does not understand the matter and divorces her. She lives a miserable life, and works as a singer under the care of the thug Abbas, who asks her for a bribe. He attacks her and slaps her when she refuses to pay.
