Space research is constantly providing lots of new knowledge about the universe with its myriad galaxies, each containing countless stars, glowing nebulae and invisible dark matter. But why is this knowledge actually important for us here on Earth? Based on three themes: the big bang, life in the universe and the exploration of Mars, we will look at why space research and its results play a role for both you and me. Anja C.
