Who invented the Ouija board? Is it really possible to communicate with spirits through a Ouija board? Or is it just a harmless toy? There are many questions that a curious mind asks when talking about the Ouija board, formerly known as a talking board. In this documentary video in Spanish we tell you the true story of the Ouija board, so that you will be surprised by facts such as that, according to science, it really works and transmits messages not intentionally formulated by those who use it... although not in the way you think. #ouija #history #documentary Surely many of you have heard of the 'ouija', one of the most popular instruments used during rituals of spiritualism. This mysterious board, to which many attribute the power to communicate with spirits from beyond, has been intriguing and fascinating millions of people around the world for more than a hundred years, since curiosity about the paranormal has always been a constant in all cultures on the planet. And in recent decades, the 'ouija' has been the protagonist of many novels, legends and horror films in which the living, when trying to make contact with the dead, end up causing the irruption of demonic entities into their lives that cause great tragedies. It is likely that you already have your own opinion about the 'ouija'. Among you there will surely be various types of skeptics: like those who think that it is a harmless game that is fun to pass the time with; and those who believe that it is better not to get too close because it can cause in people an unhealthy psychological obsession that can end up leading them to commit suicide or to commit crimes against others. And there are certainly those among you who defend the supernatural powers of the board: among them, there are those who advocate its use to get in touch with the spirits of relatives who are no longer with us because that can be comforting, and those who defend the opposite because they see the 'ouija' as a dangerous game that puts us in contact with the occult and can even lead to possession by evil souls or entities. In fact, there are also some voices that warn that the spirits that are contacted through this game actually pretend to be dead relatives of those gathered at the session with the aim of manipulating and deceiving them and, thus, feeding on their human emotions. When did the ouija board come into being? Some believe that this board that supposedly allows one to invoke and dialogue with the spirit of deceased people was born in Ancient Egypt; others date its birth to medieval times... But the truth is that it is a much more recent invention: it appeared about 135 years ago, at the end of the 19th century. And it was due to the strength that the world of the spiritual and the paranormal gained in society after the birth of spiritualism. As we already told you in our video about the history of this doctrine, the belief in spirits as ethereal and immortal entities dates back to the dawn of human societies, but spiritualism as such, that is, the science that studies the nature, origin and destiny of these spirits, was born in the mid-nineteenth century by the hand of the French educator Hippolyte Léon Denizard Rivail, better known as Allan Kardec.
