The Rectory Until 1939, the pastor of the Evangelical Reformed Church of Mitling-Mark enjoyed life in the old rectory. From 1940, the small parish was looked after by Papenburg and the pastor's house was empty. The name remained, only the purpose changed: the former rectory first became a leisure center for young people, then a conference center. Since then and until recently, there was a lot of activity and loud children's laughter in these historic walls - until it was put up for sale. A boy from the village did not want this to die out and quickly teamed up with a good friend and made a decision - SOLD. This boy from the village is Wilke Zierden and exactly according to his ideas, a multi-generational house was to be built in the listed building. Here too, the name remained, only the purpose changed. The plan: a cute, rustic café for everyone, homemade cakes, overnight accommodation and a daycare center under one roof. The whole thing in decorative style: a little crazy, a little unusual, lots of fun & love and even more East Frisian flair. Visit the rectory: https://www.das-pfarrhaus.com
