JR Osaka Loop Line and Yamanote Line both operate circular trains that make one full loop, but there are big differences between them. In addition to circular trains, they also run directly to suburban lines, and the Haruka and Kuroshiro Limited Express, the Kansai Airport Kishu Rapid Service, and the Yamatoji Rapid Service run through these trains. There are passing stations on the western section. The eastern section between Osaka, Kyobashi, and Tennoji has high demand, but the western section is small and has an oversupply. The Joto Line and Nishinari Line were also joined together to form the Osaka Loop Line in 1964, opening at the same time as the Tokaido Shinkansen. Another reason is that it is relatively new. However, the Naniwasuji Line is scheduled to be completed in the future. It appears that some trains that run via the Loop Line will be switched to the Naniwasuji Line. #OsakaLoopLine Image source: Geospatial Information Authority of Japan Map, https://maps.gsi.go.jp/ (partially edited before posting)
