October 21, 2018 - Morning service of the ERB Frankfurt. A lesson from Pastor Tobias Riemenschneider on 1 Corinthians 11:2-16: But I commend you that in everything you remember me and hold fast the traditions as I handed them on to you. But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of a woman is the man, and the head of Christ is God. Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, for she is one and the same as the shaven woman. For if a woman does not cover herself, let her hair be cut off; but if it is shameful for a woman to have her hair cut off or shaved, let her cover herself. For a man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God. but the woman is the radiance of the man. For man is not of woman, but woman of man. For neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. Therefore the woman ought to have authority on her head because of the angels. Nevertheless, in the Lord, neither is woman without man, nor man without woman. For as woman is of man, so man also is through woman; but all things are of God. Judge for yourselves: Is it fitting for a woman to pray to God unveiled? And does not nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, but if a woman has long hair, it is an honor to her? For hair was given to her instead of a veil. But if anyone thinks it good to be contentious, let him know that we have no such custom, nor do the churches of God. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Evangelical Reformed Baptists Frankfurt http://www.erb-frankfurt.de Supported by Heartcry Missionary Society http://www.heartcrymissionary.com
