Commercial cooperation: Lotta Svärd foundation The Lotta Svärd organization was founded on March 22-23, 1921. The task of the lotta associations was to equip the patrons with the necessary equipment, prepare sanitary needs, and furnish and provide medical care during exercises. In addition, the associations had to collect funds to maintain their own and the protection councils' operations. This video tells the incredible story of independent Finland from Lottie's point of view. The important part is of course the action in the Winter and Continuation War, but the video also covers Lotta action after the wars! Today, the Lotta Svärd foundation focuses on rehabilitating and assisting lotties and little lotties. About 3.5 million euros are used annually for rehabilitation and grants. In addition to rehabilitation and aid activities, the foundation supports voluntary national defense work, the focus of which is everyday safety.
