Hatem Qadri: Our people are oppressed inside. When we are in a state of quasi-slavery, do we have the moral authority to liberate Palestine? Why have we brought the society to the point where people look for someone like Bensalman? A way must be found for Palestine, but when we ourselves are insecure, how do we want to create security for others? Qais Qureshi: The issue of national security should not be reduced to morality. If we back down, will our counterpart behave ethically? Israel is an irregular regime that has no constitution and no borders for itself. His record shows that he is constantly seeking to conquer new frontiers. Domestically, we need extensive reforms, but shutting down our security mechanism is a dangerous thing.
