On the other hand, America was supposed to give the British military equipment. The British asked Iran to hand over its territory to the Allies so that they could send the needed ammunition to the Soviet Union through Iran. Iran had declared neutrality and because of this, Reza Shah did not allow the British to do this. Reza Shah probably wanted Germany to win the war. For years, the presence and interference of Britain and the Soviet Union in Iran meant nothing but division and poverty for Iranians. On the other hand, the presence of German engineers and experts was greatly improving the country. Finally, when the negotiations for the presence of the Allies in Iran did not go anywhere, Britain and the Soviet Union decided to occupy Iran and open the way to send equipment through the Persian Gulf to the Caspian Sea. On August 25, 1941 or 3 Shahrivar 1320, the forces of the Red Army attacked Iran from the north and the British from the south, by land and air. At that time, the weak Iranian army had no way of confronting the two superpowers in the north and the south. Three weeks later, Soviet and British forces met in Qazvin. They forced Reza Shah to resign and gave the kingdom to his son Mohammad Reza Shah. With the occupation of Iran, the nationwide railway from the south to the north of Iran became the main highway of victory for the Allies. American and British weapons factories were producing weapons and war tanks every day and they were sending all of them to the Soviet Union through the Iran Corridor. Declaration of the United Nations On July 1, 1942, four countries, the United States, England, the Soviet Union and China, gathered together and signed the Declaration of the United Nations. After the war, this same declaration was the introduction to the formation of the United Nations. The next day, 22 other countries also signed the declaration, and these countries agreed to allocate all their resources and equipment to confront the German, Italian, and Japanese forces, who were called the Axis. 1942 After Japan declared war on America, Roosevelt became pessimistic about the hundreds of thousands of Japanese descendants living in the American West. These Japanese had been living in America for generations and were completely American. He ordered to arrest all these Japanese. Their businesses were closed, fingerprints were taken from everyone. The Japanese have been living in California for centuries. Their culture was completely American. Even 20 thousand Japanese were serving in the American army. Roosevelt gave them 48 hours to surrender and they were sent to camps in Utah and Colorado. What was called internment camp. Continued Japanese victories on February 10, Australians' fears became reality. A powerful air attack was carried out by the Japanese on northern Australia. The Japanese bombarded Darwin Dam and entered New Guinea. In all the areas that the Japanese occupied in East Asia, the local people saw them as saviors who were going to save them from the hands of the European colonizers. They thought that with the departure of the Europeans, they would become a free country. But soon they realized that a more ruthless colonizer had taken over their country. In all these battles, the Americans and the British tried to push the Japanese back, but they failed on all fronts. The US bombed Tokyo but only 50 people were killed and the damage was minimal. Bombing of cultural heritage On March 29, 1942, the small town of Lubeck was bombed by the British Air Force. This city made Uboat engines. On the other hand, it had a lot of historical and cultural heritage. The British razed the city to the ground. In history, it is said that if the Nazis were famous for one thing, it was their intense interest in history, culture and architecture. When Hitler heard that his country's cultural heritage had been bombed, he ordered revenge. Here is the bitter irony of the story. The Germans identified the ancient and cultural works of the British by using the British tourist guidebook and bombed them all. Battle of Stalingrad With the arrival of spring and the end of the cold, the German war machine was activated again in the Soviet Union. Stalin was ready to defend himself with all the equipment that reached him from England and America and through Iran. Stalin thought that
