Alfons Wegener, a rich financial manager, asks for police protection. He was shot at in his park. There had also been attempts to blackmail him. The inspector and his team were not superheroes, but normal police officers doing their job - hunting criminals. Violence was left out of the equation, because it was recognized that exploring the psyche of a perpetrator is much more revealing for solving a case. Screenwriter Herbert Reinecker, well known for other top series such as "Derrick" and "Der Alte", once again proves his skills as a master of crime series.
