Marina and Mirko ask themselves this question again and again. After three years of construction and numerous defects and construction errors in their shell, they are at their limits, emotionally and financially. They had calculated 440,000 euros for their dream of owning their own home. The total cost is now over 600,000 euros. To save on rent, the parents of two moved in with Mirko's parents. The atmosphere in the small attic apartment is always tense. And the move out that everyone has been longing for is being delayed further and further because Mirko and Marina have lost their trust in tradesmen. For Hannah and Niklas, on the other hand, building the house is going almost smoothly. If it weren't for the emotional and financial compromises they have to make. They were given the plot of land as a gift from Hannah's parents. Nevertheless, they have to cover construction costs totaling 500,000 euros. Their dream house should have plenty of space and, above all, be ecological. In addition to the financial pressure, there are the many small and large decisions that the couple have to agree on during the construction planning process. While Niklas decides quickly and on instinct, Hannah thinks everything through meticulously and several times.
