In just two days, on Monday, we will celebrate the National Independence Day. This is one of the most important holidays in the Polish calendar, during which Poles unite in the spirit of patriotism and commemorate the regaining of independence after 123 years of partitions. Unfortunately, as reported by residents, the authorities of Świnoujście have not yet taken care to decorate the city appropriately for this special date. In many Polish cities, you can already see the white and red colors decorating the streets, squares and important buildings. Meanwhile, Świnoujście still lacks national symbols that would emphasize the significance of the upcoming holiday. The lack of flags and decorations on the main streets of the city causes some disappointment among residents and tourists. After all, the National Independence Day is a time for reflection on history, tradition and values that unite all Poles. It is therefore worth asking whether the city will make it in time and whether Świnoujście will be appropriately decorated for this important occasion.
