Have you heard of CONSEA? CONSEA - short for the National Council for Food and Nutrition Security - is an advisory body to the Presidency of the Republic, which plays an essential role in promoting Food and Nutrition Security in Brazil, with its hallmarks being dialogue with civil society and the formulation and supervision of public policies focused on this topic. Although many people are unfamiliar with it, CONSEA has been operating for 30 years and, in recent decades, has undergone some transformations and adjustments, being recreated in 2023 after its extinction during the last government. But why was its extinction seen as a setback and what are the challenges for the continuity and articulation of food security policies in the country? We explain in this episode. • REFERENCES The links mentioned are gathered on the episode page https://www.fsp.usp.br/sustentarea/20... • CONTACT US To learn more about our work, visit our website: https://www.fsp.usp.br/sustentarea E-mail: [email protected] Instagram: / sustentarea Facebook: / sustentarea LinkedIn: / sustentarea YouTube: / @sustentareausp Orelo: https://app.orelo.cc/bRuk Spotify: https://spoti.fi/2Or5syG • TECHNICAL INFORMATION Comida que Sustenta is a production of Sustentarea To listen to all episodes, follow us on Spotify, Orelo, Google Podcasts, YouTube or visit sustentarea.com.br.
