On the Prekornica mountain, which rises above the Bjelopavlić plain and the Ostrog monastery, Nikola Pavićević himself has been living for years. Far from people, far from the road, far from civilization. Nikola has no electricity, no television, and no telephone. After several family tragedies, Nikola retreated into himself and hid from people on his cabin on the Prekornica mountain, whose highest peak is 1,920 meters. Although he lives as a recluse and hermit, although he experienced many disappointments in people, Nikola did not renounce them. He only wants to forget the people who cheated him, namely the livestock traders, to whom Nikola gave lambs and sheep for sale and who owed him more than 150,000 euros. Nikola grew up in a family where the word and the face were sacred, so he cannot accept the new time, nor get used to the people that that time gave birth to. Nikola got used to harsh living conditions and to the mountain Prekornica with which he was related, respecting the laws of nature. He does not recognize those human laws, as do many Bjelopavlićs, since the time when the Montenegrin ruler Prince Danilo sinned against Nikola's Pavićevići brotherhood and the Bjelopavići tribe. Exactly 170 years ago, on the day of the Holy Trinity, on May 30, 1854, after the liturgy and the people's assembly at the Ostrog monastery, Prince Danilo asked the Bjelopavlić family to bring him thirty of the most beautiful girls and women to dance the circle for him and his plumes. Having no idea what the ruler was up to, the Bjelopavlić people obeyed him. Prince Danilo set his sights on Danica Pavićević, married to the priest Puniša, who was considered the most beautiful woman in Bjelopavlići. The prince raped Danica, and his squires dishonored the remaining 30 girls and women from Bjelopavlić in that holy place. That shameful act of the Montenegrin ruler led to the armed rebellion of Bjelopavlić, which was suppressed in blood by Prince Danilo. Defending the honor of his sister Danica and the image of the Bjelopavlić tribe, Todor Kadić killed the Montenegrin prince in Kotor on July 31, 1860. The murder of Prince Danilo was not paid for by Todor alone, but by all the Kadići. Some were killed, some burned and robbed and exiled. Danilo's successor, Prince Nikola, made a decision that none of the Kadićs could remain within the borders of Montenegro, as long as he lived.
