In 1974 - exactly 50 years ago - Porsche presented the first series sports car with an exhaust turbocharger, the Porsche 911 Turbo 3.0 with 260 hp and a top speed of 250 km/h. Just in time for the 50th birthday, GRIP test driver Matthias Malmedie goes back to the beginnings of turbo technology at Porsche and exclusively drives a car that is over 50 years old and which completely pulverizes the speed and performance of the current Porsche 911 Turbo S (2.7 seconds from 0-100 km/h, top speed 330 km/h): the Porsche 917/30 from 1973 with an output of 1,000 hp.
