In mid-June, the Schinderhannes Classic 2024 took place for the 13th time on the Schlossplatz in Simmern. Despite the bad weather at the beginning, it soon cleared up and the sun shone on the event, which pleased the participants and spectators alike. The Schinderhannes Classic is now an established event in the field of classic car rallies. Bernd Halffmann and the HAC Simmern eV invited us, and we, Nadin and Michael from the MotorMarketing team, took part as filming participants in the Porsche 911 Carrera 2 to report for German MotorKult TV. This year's route of the Schinderhannes Classic 2024 led from Simmern to the Vorderhunsrück and the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Upper Middle Rhine Valley". The alternation between impressive nature and millennia-old cultural landscapes offered exciting contrasts. Even for locals there were new routes to discover. The daily stages were characterized by impressive views and great driving fun. This year we decided to take it easy and signed up for the tourist group of the vintage car rally. Our tasks consisted of finding green hamlet signs and picture puzzles along the route and entering place names on the on-board card. We had a lot of fun doing it. Between the trips, skill tasks provided variety. Whether it was parking in the middle, starting from the side or driving forward precisely - the members of the HAC organized these tasks with great joy. At the end of the day, the achievements were converted into points and the winners of the touring sport class were chosen. The catering during the lunch break was also organized by the members of the Hunsrück-Auto-Club Simmern eV. The kart kids' training ground in Braunshorn provided the perfect backdrop for this. The finish on the castle square in Simmern was accompanied by an expert moderator who offered interesting information about the classic cars and their crews. The day ended with a joint visit to the "Domäne am Simmersee" inn and a Schinderhannes buffet. At the award ceremony that followed, the best teams were awarded non-cash prizes and trophies. Starting number 25 says thank you! The Schinderhannes Classic 2024 was once again a great event.
