In this video I show you how I work on the piston and build a window in the piston (boost ports). And of course I also make the piston lighter. I will also tell you a bit about how to install support channels and explain the function and design. The classic two-stroke engine has two transfer ports and one exhaust port, so a total of three ports (hence the patent name of three-channel reverse flushing, the two transfer ports are directed towards the cylinder wall opposite the exhaust side, where they then straighten up when they meet and sweep through the cylinder head, calotte, in a looping movement (reverse flushing) and then say goodbye to the exhaust. While the side transfer ports allow the air to flow flat over the piston crown (and at the same time cool the thermally heavily loaded piston crown with fresh gas), the boost port channels are directed upwards towards the head in such a way that they support the straightening movement of the fresh gas coming from the side ports.
