Here in the US, there are 3 categories of schools: 1 - Elementary School; 2 - Middle School; 3 - High School. Here, classes start in August and end in mid-June! Public schools in the US are administered by school districts and are considered excellent schools, a little different from the culture we have in Brazil. In addition, public schools in the US have a personalized schedule, a teaching staff focused on individual development, and an active search to expand the school community. In the United States, the educational system evaluates students using a letter scale that goes from A to F, with each letter corresponding to a percentage of correct answers. Students' final grades are based on their scores on tests, assignments, class attendance, quizzes, projects, and participation. This model is similar to the one used in Brazil.
