The film tells about the life and miracles of Saint Spyridon of Trimythous. Through his prayers, droughts stopped and rains poured down, the suffering received help, and sinners were brought to their senses. It is known from his life that the Saint lost his wife and daughter early. But he did not fall into despair, his faith in God only grew stronger. Saint Spyridon was unusually kind and responsive to people, constantly remaining in prayer. The Lord endowed him with gifts of grace: clairvoyance, the ability to heal the terminally ill and cast out demons. Saint Spyridon died at the age of about 80 during prayer in 348. His relics rested in the city of Trimythous, Cyprus, until the middle of the 7th century. Then, due to the Arab invasion, the incorruptible body of the saint was transported to Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine Empire, and after its fall - in 1453, when Constantinople was taken by the Ottomans, the relics were taken first to Serbia, and then to the island of Corfu.
