Hello! In this episode of the Post-War series, I present the story of the clash between the Iraqi army and the international coalition that took place in the early 90s. In connection with Iraq's occupation and annexation of Kuwait, the United States created an alliance of 32 countries that attacked the country ruled by Saddam Hussein. Operation Desert Storm lasted several weeks. Thousands of bombs fell on Baghdad and other Iraqi cities. Many towns and settlements were turned into piles of rubble. During the attack of the coalition forces, not only soldiers but also civilians died. For a long time, Saddam Hussein did not want to compromise with the international community. Iraqi soldiers defended their positions in Kuwait. Hussein called US President George Bush Satan. The slogan Allah Akbar appeared on the Iraqi flag. Suicide squads were formed in Iraq.
