Argentina is a country with a very strong Italian and Spanish heritage, and daily life in Buenos Aires is observed in countless ways. Among the main foods inherited from Italy, pizza is one of the most popular. So much so that it has a flavor created in Buenos Aires, the fugazzeta. All Argentines love pizza, each one has their favorite pizzeria, it is one of the most popular street foods in the land of tango. They created their own flavor: Fugazzeta, invented in Buenos Aires, is a pizza without sauce, where there is a layer of cheese between two pizza doughs, as if it were a filling, and lots of onion on top. Variation of flavors: Fugazza con queso, derives from a combination of focaccia (bread with onion), called fugassa in Genoa, with cheese.
