What is the difference between eventual intent and conscious negligence? What are the differences between the different types of intent? What types of negligence exist? There are two elements of intent: intellectual and volitional. The first refers to the subject's knowledge of the illegality of his conduct, and the second, to the will for the result of such conduct to occur. These elements occur in direct intent, second-degree intent or intent with necessary consequences, and eventual intent, but in different ways and in different intensity.
