Today in “The News with Augusto Townsend”: Rafael Vela was removed from the national coordination of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Offices for Money Laundering by decision of the new Attorney General Delia Espinoza. The Permanent Commission of Congress will debate this week the ruling that proposes to reinstate the financing of politics by private companies. Congressman Alfredo Pariona presented a constitutional reform project to apply the death penalty to crimes such as rape of minors and corruption of officials. Attorney Benji Espinoza surprisingly resigned from the defense of the former head of the Legal and Constitutional Office of Congress Jorge Torres Saravia, accused of being the leader of an alleged prostitution network in said branch of the State. The general director of the National Center for Epidemiology, Prevention and Control of Diseases of the Ministry of Health (CDC-Peru) declared that there is no alert for a new respiratory virus in China, as has been speculated.
