The London-based research firm The Analyst has presented critical reports on a number of Swedish small savers' favourites, such as Fortnox, Embracer and Evolution. In an interview with EFN's Gabriel Mellqvist, the founder Mark Hiley talks about how the company works and does its analyses, as well as his view on both Swedish stock culture and short selling, i.e. speculation in falling stock prices. "It is often blank activists who have the incentive to do the work, ask the questions and expose fraud. As I see it, they have a legitimate function in the market," says the analyst who himself played a prominent role in the unraveling of the major German Wirecard scandal. Mark Hiley emphasizes that the firm does not take its own positions in the companies it monitors or act activistically, by spreading its theses. He also points out that several of the analyzes also end up in buying advice. ABB is an at least partly Swedish company that he is positive about. ______________________________ Do you like the video? Subscribe to EFN on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/efnekonomikan...
