About :

Excess generally causes a reaction and creates a change in the opposite direction, whether it is in the seasons, in individuals or in the government. Look in the mirror and if you have a beautiful face, do something that suits your beauty, and if your face is not beautiful, the ugliness of the deed will increase it. B.C. to 348/347 B.C.) is the second philosopher of the three great philosophers (Socrates, Plato and Aristotle). Among these three, he was the one who laid the philosophical foundations of Western culture.[citation needed] His influence on Islamic philosophy is also significant. Plato's life in Athens was born in 427 BC in a prominent Athenian family. He had two brothers and one sister, and two half-brothers, one of whom was from the first marriage of his mother's second husband, and the other was the result of this marriage. At the age of twenty, he became a student of Socrates to complete his education. This meeting and apprenticeship continued for ten years. After the execution of Socrates in 399, Plato left Athens. He toured Greek cities and foreign countries for several years. After a trip to Sicily, he returned to Athens in 388 and established a philosophical school known as the Academy. His teachings there were postponed due to his two trips to Sicily in 366 and 361. Plato died in 347 and left the leadership of the academy to his niece, who was also his student. According to him, both types of art are useful for the education of young people if they have moral issues. But in general, he does not value fine arts, but considers them harmful and drives them away from his utopia. Because he believes that the art of painting or poetry and drama is not to express the truth, but to copy and illustrate or imitate it. It is not an imitation of the original, but an imitation of a shadow and an imitation, and an imitation of low and humble sensations. According to him, sensations are not original in any way, but they are imitations of the truth that are in the world of ideals or in the world of things. For this reason, since sensations themselves are one degree away from the truth or principle, so in terms of distance from fixed and principled truths, arts such as painting or poetry are in the third stage. Plato's other objection to poetry, painting, and music is that these arts arouse feelings and emotions, and anything that arouses human emotions is far from equanimity and dignity and causes laziness and laziness. He even accepts the pleasurable work of art, but in the end, he considers this pleasure to be a source of weakness and harmful to good character. But Plato in his youth was deeply influenced by Socrates - one of the most prominent personalities whose name is recorded in the scroll of history. . was placed, and in most of the works he left behind, he has given us a clear picture of the intellectual character and moral qualities of this man who appears as the main speaker in those works. The critical and transformative point in Plato's life came in 399 BC when he was twenty-six years old. In that year, Socrates, who had turned seventy years old, was brought to trial in an Athenian court for the crime of denying the official gods of the country, inventing new gods, and corrupting the youth. He did not accept any of the tools that could be used to acquit him and defended his way of life in a tone that left no room for reconciliation with the claimants. The majority of the court members found him guilty and sentenced him to death. Socrates accepted the verdict of the court with his usual composure and calmness, and during the time between his conviction and execution, he refused to accept the plan that his friends had made to escape from prison.
