On Saturday, September 21, 2024, our association went hiking in the Chočské vrchy. We chose to visit the panoramic hill Prosečné, which we climbed after passing through the beautiful Prosiecká valley. We started the route after parking the car in Prosiek in the parking lot next to the soccer field. Prosečné can be clearly seen from the parking lot. First, we walked through the beautiful Prosiecka Valley, visiting the Červené Piesky waterfall and the iconic view of the valley right after we crossed the ladders on the route. After a leisurely route to Svorad, we started to climb up to Jóbova lúka, where the ridge of the Proscekne massif also begins. Just before climbing to the top, we enjoyed the view of the Podtatra basin and the Low Tatras ridge in the background. We took a necessary break at Prescechny for refreshments and enjoying the wonderful view of the Western Tatras, the Orava Highlands and the Orava Magura. The Orava Beskydy also showed us Babia Hora and Pilsko in the distance. After a steep descent at first, we made our way comfortably to the Prosiecka and Kvačianska Valley Educational Trail, and with wonderful views of the Low Tatras, we made our way to Prosiek with wonderful feelings and great experiences. The whole day we had really cool sunny weather with no clouds. It was the last warm and sunny day that could be used for hiking. And so we did.
