Since 2011, she has been the president of the Polish Society for Obesity Research. She is a member of the General Council of the European and World Society for Obesity Research. She is a specialist in internal medicine and a public health specialist, and also holds the European Fellow of the Specialist Certification of Obesity Professional Education of the World and European Society for Obesity Research. She is one of 60 world experts developing new criteria for defining obesity.
