The Prague group Škwor was formed at the very end of the millennium, but during that time it managed to become one of the most popular bands in our country. And from the beginnings of thrash metal and a brief coquetry with nu metal, it has worked its way to the very top of the domestic hard rock scene, where it belongs, for example, next to the related Kabat. Their frontman, singer and lyricist Petr Hrdlička came to On Air to talk about the wild beginnings of the band, which was first kicked out of the rock band competition for being too tough, only to win the same competition the following year, participation in TV shows and last year's album Tváře sadnejch hrdinů. How does he view the nu-metal wave that swept the world at the turn of the millennium? How did the hit Shout by the British band Tears For Fears get into their repertoire? And didn't the fans blame them for participating in shows like the Caruso Show or Starts for the Stars? Watch the full interview. ON AIR is a talk show by music columnist Pavel Kučera with musicians and people from the music industry. A new episode is published every week on the YouTube channel kytary.cz.
