Outdoor activities - Hardangervidda 2019 Fagerheim - Heinseter - Rauhelleren Part 2 Then the nice trip on Hardangervidda continues! There had long been attempts to organize a trip to Hardangervidda, but the weather and other car conditions put obstacles in the way. Then it is extra nice when the trip can finally be realized. This time the tour starts from a new location, Fagerheim. This is not very far from Dyranut, and is somewhat closer to Geilo. The trip goes from here to Heinseter and on towards Rauhelleren. The plan was then to go towards Stigstuv and then cross over the mountain towards Fagerheim again. The weather made this plan difficult. I park a bit on the upper side of Fagerheim. With Fagerheim in sight, the steep track goes inwards towards the left, in an almost southerly direction. The plan for the first leg is to go into the Heinseter area and find a tent pitch there. From there, the journey continues towards Rauhelleren. It was a great trip again on Hardangervidda. The Hardangervidda is rough and tough and showed itself this time from a windy side. It's a powerful and wonderful place that always mostly takes a bite out of itself and presents challenges. This was no different on this trip either.
