This Clinical Session is linked to the Master in Clinical and Health Psychology. https://www.isep.es/curso/master-en-p... This session will address: In recent years, cognitive-behavioral therapy has established itself as the approach of choice for chronic insomnia, achieving complete remission in three out of four patients. What does this therapy consist of and how is it applied? Why is it preferable to drugs? In this session, we introduce the fundamental techniques for treating insomnia and achieving restful sleep, illustrating their application through a real case. Taught by Àlex Durán. Àlex trained in Barcelona as a health psychologist, specializing in cognitive-behavioral therapy. Currently, he works as a psychotherapist in private practice, helping people with chronic insomnia, anxiety and depression. As a teacher at ISEP, he teaches the modules on "Depressive disorders" and "Psychology of well-being". She also supervises the clinical team at Iguality, an NGO she co-founded a couple of years ago with the aim of providing psychological support to populations at risk of exclusion.
