In this short fragment we see the beautiful train station of Nijmegen in 1925. We also see fragments of the first street lighting in Nijmegen and in the reception hall high on the ceiling arc lamps of electricity pioneer Willem Benjamin Smit that date from the construction of the station (1892) by architect CH Peters, a student of dr. PJH Cuypers. During WWII (1944) this beautiful station was almost completely destroyed and was later replaced by the current train station.
