In an interview with France 24 from Abidjan, Simone Ehivet Gbagbo, founder and president of the Mouvement des Générations Capables (MGC), speaks about the presidential election scheduled for October 2025 in Côte d'Ivoire. The former first lady launched her party two years ago, in opposition to President Alassane Ouattara. If she comes out on top of the opposition in the first round, she hopes for withdrawals in her favor, particularly that of her former husband, Laurent Gbagbo. Concerned about the proper conduct of the election, she advocates for a revision of the electoral rules.
